I have been an artist and a musician for as long as I can remember. I started out in the visual media’s of soft leads and charcoals, which led to acrylic and then oil painting and photography. Creating works of art with photorealistic results is my passion. Creating an idealized world of innocence and beauty is the driving force behind everything I do, including building guitars.
I come from an extremely artistic family, and music was always a huge part of our everyday life. My father played guitar professionally for 30 years and I received my first guitar when I was 15, a 1960 Fender Strat . My Grandmother played the piano, and was the main force that inspired my oil painting. As a family we have a love affair with instruments of quality, which has helped to guild my building style.
Sculpting Guitars was part of the natural progression of me as an artist. It is the combination of decades of playing, the passion for creating, and decades of family influence, all coming together. All of these factors combine to create instruments that will not only far exceed any other on the market, but also have a visual creative piece that will make each and every guitar I build unique. When you hear a Roeller Custom for the first time, you suddenly hear what all your other manufactured guitars are missing.
Take a look around and feel free to contact me regarding my paintings, photography, or guitars.
